X-Ray Inspection Services

ITA Labs sports the latest generation of real-time X-Ray Inspection equipment. We have recently updated our equipment to the Dage Quadra 3 X-Ray Inspection System.

X-ray imageThe X-Ray machine is primarily designed for printed circuit board inspection of samples, specifically solder joints of newer electronic packages and PCB components.

Conventional optical inspections can fall short due to the joints being located beneath or within the component body.

The x-ray machine is also equipped with a tilt function, which enables oblique angle viewing of the joints to identify joints that may be open or where the solder and paste have not coalesced.

Use of the real-time X-ray technique is not confined to the electronic industry, however. Our x-ray inspection services machine can also be used to check other types of samples, for example, skeletal structures of small mammals, voiding within materials and enclosed/encapsulated items within larger assemblies.

One big advantage of using the x-ray machine is that it is a “non-destructive” technique so electronic equipment can be inspected without being affected, which is particularly useful in quality control.

ITA Labs is extremely experienced at providing x-ray results, with a fast turnaround, at very competitive rates using a Dage x-ray machine.
